Involvement supported the Equality and Engagement Conference in Nottingham on 5 February. Engagement colleagues from a range of healthcare organisations came together for the conference, hosted by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in partnership with local clinical commissioning groups.
Knowing your audience is often the beginning steps of any engagement activity. You need to know who it is you are trying to reach and how best to communicate with them, especially to those deemed to be hard to reach, or seldom heard. Here at Involvement, we wanted to help you widen your knowledge of the three regions; West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England. To help support this, we set up a task and finish group to work with Experian to create a Population Insight and Engagement Toolkit.
The Involvement project has recently featured in an article in Commissioning - the leading monthly print journal specifically for commissioners.
Delivered to nearly 10,000 named contacts in England, the journal brings together amongst others, NHS England, CCGs, Local Authorities, CSUs and those responsible for maintaining quality within the NHS.
Recently, Involvement supported two Wellbeing events in partnership with One East Midlands for engagement colleagues in the East of England and East Midlands. Two events, one held in Bedford on 21 January and one held in Nottingham, held on 18 February, brought together a range of voluntary sector representatives along with those from health organisations.
